Retrun to sport: A lot depends on the detail of the surgery. For a routine meniscectomy you might be able to return at the 4-6 week mark. For a meniscal repair it may take as long as 3 months. For a loose body removal and clean up it may take 3-4 weeks. Find out exactly the expected procedure that will take place.

6-8 wks: I tend to be a little more conservative following knee arthroscopy. I would recommend to my patients waiting at least 6-8 weeks after the procedure to resume impact aerobics. This in general would allow enough time for complete resolution of all swelling regain of all motion and reconditioning to get back to your sport. This would also be contingent upon what was done at the time of arthroscopy.
