How long after knee arthroscopy can i start playing basketball?

Depends: Returning to basketball after a knee scope depends on what was done. The surgeon may not want you bear weight on the knee for 3-6 weeks if certain procedures are done. Since basketball inolves quite a bit of stress to the knee i would not let my patient return for a minimum of 3 weeks if a simple meniscectomy was performed; more if a meniscal repair, microfracture or other restorative procedure.
