Possibly: Shingles is a recurrence of the chicken pox virus on one particular nerve where it has managed to hide. When it activates, it will follow the course or length of that nerve - where you are describing it, front to back along an almost straight line on one side of body only, right or left. Kinda feels like that prior to skin lesions showing up. Check with your doc.
