Do not Resuscitate: Strictly speaking dnr means that you do not want compressions of your heart (CPR) if you have a heart attack or situation where your heart stops.

Dnr: Is short for do not resuscitate. If you are in cardiac or respiratory arrest the health care provider will not intervene and allow a natural death.
