Removal of fibroids: A myomectomy is the procedure when fibroids are removed and the uterus remains. Myomectomies can be done in a variety of ways, depending on the location of the fibroids. Fiboids in the uterine cavity can often be removed hysteroscopically, with no abdominal incision. Depending on size and location, myomectomies can be done laparoscopicaaly, robotically and my laparotomy.
