A stroke: Stroke is cause by a vascular event that results in death of brain tissue. It can result from a blood vessel rupture causing hemorrhage, an embolus that blocks a brain artery or plaque rupture that causes a blood clot.

Stroke: Cva typically refers to a stroke. A stroke is the condition whereby the blood flow to the brain is interrupted. There are many possible reasons for the interruption. Due to lack of oxygen, the brain tissue can be injured and patient will experience loss of function, or loss of consciousness. This is a serious condition that can lead to permanent brain injury, or death. Urgent evaluation is needed.
