A member asked:

My 17 year old dtr has staph. second round of antibiotics. painful eruptions on upper leg and groin. what can i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Anti staph measures: If staphylococcus is becoming a frequent problem, she and others may be colonized. Sometimes, everybody needs to be treated, mupiricin placed in the nose as it's a frequent place for colonization, and clorox baths (1/4 cup clorox added to a full bath) to eliminate body carriage. Talk with your doc about anti staphylococcus measures before starting.
