TMJ: One possibility is acute inflammation in your jaw joint. Try ice packs and Ibuprofen and schedule an exam to get it evaluated by a dentist.

Apthus ulcer or bite: Sounds like you simply have an apthus ulcer (cold sore) which if you give it time should go away. The other thing it could be is you bit the inside of your cheek and it is sore and it too will take time to heal. If it spreads or gets worse....Then go see the dentist or for peace of mind...Go see your dentist.
