Are there iep for gifted children?

There should be: Most state guidelines would allow for the creation of iep's for gifted children, since they require special stimulation and education to realize full potential, and they can destroy a classroom pretty quickly if bored or frustrated. Unfortunately most schools are very underfunded, and can barely take care of children who are notably disabled. Some states have them, but very few.

No, but options: In some school districts students with special aptitude in various arts & sciences can apply to attend a magnet school rather than the one for which they are zoned. In our school district there is a lottery because of the number of applicants. Teachers recommend students for testing for the gate program; a child who has an iq of 130 or above qualifies to attend gate classes at his school.
