Hearing eval first: Many causes for hearing loss can be re mediated . Try to get the hearing issue resolved first. Posterior aphasia more likely to require an IEP

In addition to: speaking evaluation and treatment for the hearing loss, ask the teacher to have the student sit close to the front of the classroom.
