Heme iron source: Best sources of iron are those foods with heme found only in meats, poultry and fish-- e.g. Meat-especially red meat, chicken, turkey esp. Dark meat and other meats, salmon and other fish. Other iron sources in food are non-heme are egg , vegetables e.g. Spinach, fruits, grains, nuts.
