If : If you are sensitive to temperature, then the nerve in the fractured tooth is vital, so it is not infected.
Trying to use drugstore cement might just make things worse. Since you are not in that much distress, take whatever you usually take for a headache and see your dentist in the morning.

As : As long as you are relatively comfortable, wait until you see your dentist tomorrow. You could damage the temporary if you don't put it in right. Nothing serious is going to happen before tomorrow.
