The : The fetus is at risk through out the pregnancy in the face of alcohol consumption. Abstinence is the answer. Discuss this with your OB physician.

No: The early reports of fetal alcohol effects surfaced first in the 1950's& again in the 70's. The most prominent effects were dose related; the worst fetal damage to the highest alcohol intake. Research has shown direct toxic effects of alcohol on the nerves of the fetal brain & many suggest much of the ADD we see today is related to alcohol intake. No level of alcohol intake is considered safe
