A member asked:

If pregnancy was confirmed on sept.23 and alcohol was consumed on sept. 13, 15&22 what stage was fetus in and what are the risks of fas at this stage?

Alcohol: What really matters is not when the pregnancy was confirmed but how far along you are. You need to have an ultrasound to confirm your gestational age. After you've read about FAS i'm sure you know when the peak risk is. Is important also to know how much you actually drank? More than likely if you're pregnancy was confirmed very early to baby is at no risk-prior to six weeks-nevertheless ultrasoun.
