A member asked:

What are the bad effects of alcohol consumption during pregnancy and breastfeeding.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: The early reports of fetal alcohol effects surfaced first in the 1950's& again in the 70's. The most prominent effects were dose related; the worst fetal damage to the highest alcohol intake. Research has shown direct toxic effects of alcohol on the nerves of the fetal brain & many suggest much of the ADD we see today is related to alcohol intake. No level of alcohol intake is considered safe.
