I've had tinnitus for 7 years, now suddenly pounding like my own heartbeat in my right ear, can't something be done about this? i take lipoflavanoid to help, but it just aids a little. i have state-of-the-art hearing aids, but they do not help

What : What you are describing sounds like pulsatile tinnitis. Before recommending treatment, it would be reasonable to reconnect with your ENT to explore possible causes that include certain vascular tumors of the head and neck ( i.e., paragangliomas), atherosclerosis that may be creating narrowing and turbulent flow of your carotid artery (which runs close to your middle ear), possible avm (arteriovenous malformation), etc. After a thorough head and neck exam, and audiogram, he/she may wish to get a contrast ct or mri/mra study. Just curious, with you being on lipoflavanoids, have you been diagnosed with meniere's disease?
