Can you get a concussion by being hit hard in the mouth and nose area? i was playing soccer today and got shouldered in that area.

Yes : Yes it is possible to sustain a concussion from any blow to the head. You do not have to get "knocked out" to sustain a concussion. Per the mayo clinic: signs and symptoms of a concussion may include: headache or a feeling of pressure in the head temporary loss of consciousness confusion or feeling as if in a fog amnesia surrounding the traumatic event dizziness or "seeing stars" ringing in the ears nausea or vomiting slurred speech fatigue some symptoms of concussions may be immediate or delayed in onset by hours or days after injury: concentration and memory complaints irritability and other personality changes sensitivity to light and noise sleep disturbances psychological adjustment problems and depression disorders of taste and smell seek immediate medical care if you suspect a concussion.

Yes, : Yes, if the force is strong enough, it will rapidly accelerate the movement of your head. Look out for signs of concussion to include : headache, dizziness, difficulty keeping your balance, vomiting, nausea, double or blurred vision, sensitivity to light, ringing in your ears, confusion or feeling like things are going in slow motion. If you think you may have a concussion please get seen by a doctor to evaluate.
