While : While a more thorough evaluation by a physician (like an orthopaedic surgeon or someone trained in sports medicine) would be more likely to give you a firm diagnosis, the history and symptoms you provide may be consistent with a tear of the medial head of the gastrocnemius muscle. Can you detect any visible difference in the appearance of the muscles from affected to non-affected sides? Are there any other symptoms, perhaps related to your knee, that go along with this? If it continues to bother you, consdier getting checked out by someone who can give you a complete evaluation. Good luck!
