Will a blepharoplasty remove any eyelashes? is it possible for a blepharoplasty to accidentally remove the lash line?

This : This is a natural fear, but not a natural outcome. The eyelash line is entirely preserved during a blepharoplasty. Sometime lid trauma can occur with poor tissue handling, but this does not occur in a specialists hands. Be healthy and be well, james m. Ridgway, md.

This : This should not be a concern for upper eyelid blepharoplasty. In lower lid surgery where excess skin is removed, the incision is close to the lower lash line. This having been said, it is not common to lose eyelashes. Dr. Edwards.

Blepharoplasty : Blepharoplasty surgery normally stays away from the lash line so it would be very unusual for the lashes to accidentally be removed during surgery.

Blepharoplasty: There is a possibility that eyelashes can be removed during blepharoplasty. Have your eyelids evaluated by a board certified surgeon with expertise in these procedures.

Possible, not likely: While it is possible, this is not likely. Accidents do rarely occur, but it is very unusual that it would result in complete loss of the lash line
