I'm : I'm sorry to hear that you are suffering so badly. Having had issues with my back and neck i can relate to how painful " spinal pain " can be. To be honest, I am an otolaryngologist not an orthopod, neurologist, or pain specialist, but if it were me ( and i've done this for myself) i would seek out an experienced anaesthesia pain specialist to consider the possibility of a steroid/anaesthetic block injection which may be both diagnostic and therapeautic. I would seek out a major academic center (? Ucsd) . I'm sure you have seen by now a neurologist or neurosurgeon to discuss options. If not, this could be worthwhile. If all else fails, it may be worth a trip to the mayo clinic who typically deal with difficult problems. Wishing you the best.

Diagnosis: Pursuit for a diagnosis is the most important step in these instances. The correct diagnosis often translates to effective treatment and possibly cure. Pain is one of the main symptom afflicting humans. Can see a pain management specialist who can obtain a detailed history and examination and order the appropriate tests. Treatment without a formal diagnosis is rarely indicated.
