I : I just came by your question. It is so hard to diagnose lesions like this over the internet. Since you have already seen a physician, please go back and have him/her reevaluate the lesion and see why the medication they gave you does not seem to be working.

See an oral surgeon: May or may not be serious condition, please seek consultation with an oral surgeon if possible. Since medical insurance may paid for a visit with the specialist ( oral surgeon).
