Dentist!: Your best bet is the doctor most familiar with the mouth, oral cavity and surrounding structures - the dentist!

Dentist/Oral Surgeon: You might Start with your Dentist and as needed be referred to the Oral Surgeon, or go right to the O.S. Typically you like to be with whomever is going to provide the definitive treatment. If Candida, then no need for specialist. Good Luck.
