A member asked:

Do people grow out of adhd? if my daughter has adhd as a child, will she always have it, or will it go away as she gets older?

Possibly: About 50% of children "grow out" of adhd. Many very successful people have adhd, so the most important thing is for your daughter to get professional help [psychiatrist or psychologist], and if her school work is suffering, to see if she needs extra help in school [speak with the school guidance counselor who can guide you]. Hope this answer helps.

Some do & some don't: Dr. Barbaresi's 2013 study found that 29% of children with ADHD still had symptoms as adults. I am surprised it was not higher. One of the biggest issues for adults with ADHD, I think, is driving. Driving + distractability + no medication = accident.. As an adult with ADD, I can tell you that it is easy to manage symptoms with medication and live a safe & full-filling life.
