My 7 yr old daughter is on biphentin for adhd and she holds in her urine and has a foul odor to her. what is causing this?

See below: Biphentin is a form of ritalin (methylphenidate). Withholding urine is no tcaused by ritalin (methylphenidate). This is a behavioral issue. The odor maybe due to the concentration of the urine. She should be seen by her doctor to have a urine sample checked. And, some type of behavioral plan needs to be established for her withholding.

Common ADHD symptom : Holding back urine (& stool) is a very common symptom of adhd. This is caused by inattention to body signals to empty the bladder, or over focus on current activity, ignoring body telling child to pee. Please check with prescribing doctor, as it may be that the adhd is under treated.
