Kegels! : Kegels! the good news is that first degree prolapse is actually considered a normal degree of tissue relaxation in a woman who has had two vaginal deliveries. Many women with first degree prolapse would not even know that it is present unless an examining doctor told them it was there. Often the woman is completely unaware and has no symptoms. The important thing is to prevent it from getting worse over time and evolving into a second or third degree prolapse. For this, do your kegels! if you are not sure what these are or whether you are doing them correctly, please ask for a referral to a pelvic floor physical therapist. They can rapidly get you down the right course. Two other important things - avoid straining with constipation and avoid unnecessary heavy lifting.
