My friend has what looks like a air pocket under his tongue.. like a swollen bubble... just need to know what it may be and what it looks like a bubble that may have a little blood in it.. i really can not explain it to well..

Chances : Chances are it is not an air pocket. Your friend should have it examined to determine the cause. Left untreated, it can become large and push the tongue back causing difficulty in breathing.

This : This sounds like a mucocele or ranula which represents blockage of our minor salivary gland openings. I agree this should be looked at to determine the exact cause and specific treatment if indicated.
