There : There are a lot of questions about crooked teeth in this forum. I guess it is a very popular treatment although i dont do a lot of it myself. Slightly crooked teeth can be modified by simple contouring. Certainly nothing can be added to straighten the teeth, and the procedure is quite limited in what it can achieve. Bonding, veneers, crowns or orthodontics are more definitive ways to straighten teeth.

Camouflage : Reshaping a tooth does not "straighten" the tooth. It makes the tooth look less crooked, but does nothing to change the shape of the root. Reshaping can cause untoward forces on the twisted tooth, and can make it harder to clean. Additionally if restorations required, you then have a lifetime of maintenance. Best solution, straighten the teeth. Second best, reshape the teeth. Seek consults.

Tooth contouring: Tooth contouring is a cosmetic procedure to give the appearance of straighter teeth. Success depends on how crooked your teeth are and what outcome you are seeking. Since it involves removing enamel, it is not reversible. Your dentist can trim models of your teeth to show you what the teeth will look like after they are contoured.
