It : It depends on the kind of lactose intolerance he has. If he developed lactose intolerance from an intestinal injury or from aging, then these are not inheritable and should not affect your children. If he has congenital lactose intolerance and has been unable to digest milk from birth, then your children could have up to a 50% chance of being born with it also. Assume yes: You can be born with lactose intolerance, develop it when a toddler, or have it temporarily after bad diarrhea. Between 1/4 and 1/3 of adults are lactose intolerant.It is easy to avoid symptoms by avoiding lactose.If your spouse is intolerant, assume your kids may be, and plan accordingly. They could also be normal. So many have the problem that it is really not a big problem for most.
