Lactose intolerance: Lactose intolerance (li) is the most likely cause for stomach cramps, bloating and diarrhea in the general population. If you can drink lactaid milk without GI symptoms, but regular milk causes problems, you are most likely lactose intolerant. If you cannot drink either without symptoms you may have milk allergy. The first step in the diagnosis of celiac disease is to rule-out lactose intolerance.

Loose stools: Lactose intolerance shows loose watery stools after milk. Classic celiac disease usually shows watery stools with trouble gaining weigh all the time. However, there are other symptoms that can be found in celiac disease, and you do not absolutely need to have the diarrhea to have celiac disease. This includes rashes, arthritis, anemia and dental problems. Some people have no symptoms.
