Spotting : Spotting can occur during pregnancy with implantation of the fetus into the placenta. However if a woman had heavy spotting or bleeding, cramping, passed any tissue, had fever, or continued spotting then it may be a miscarriage. Let your gynecologist know that this has happened so that they can monitor the situation.

See your GYN: It may be normal but if you had gastric bypass, a]underlying anemia and several pregnancies you may need hematology follow up and treatment, get a CBC as fisr step.
