To : To remove the veneers they will have to be drilled off, they probably will not pop off. Done carefully, there should be no damage to your teeth. Speak to your dentist regarding your concerns. You should be happy with the way your smile looks. They may just need a little tweaking here and there to give them the look you desire.

It : It is unfortunate that you are not happy but you are entitled to satisfaction when you have had veneers placed. Removing them by a skilled clinician is quite possible but make certain that everyone is in agreement as to what you want the final result to look like. It sounds as though you liked the temporaries. If so have your dentist send a study cast of the temps or a picture if he has them so that the lab can match them. When your doc does the try-in before cementing them be certain to check out the look and accept or reject them at that point.

Carefully: Existing veneers can be difficult to remove without taking away more tooth structure. It can be done, and takes a good bit of time. Additionally, all the bonding sites on the enamel are bonded, so a small amount of additional tooth may need to be removed to expose fresh enamel. If you are not happy, you need to consider whether it is worth it to try again. People do. Good luck with it.

Not necessarily: When carefully done the veneers can be removed without creating much if any damage to the teeth. With the new veneers i would make sure the lines of communication and expectations are wide open so that your dentist can determine if he/she can please your wishes.

It shouldn't: With a highly trained dentist in the area of cosmetic dentistry, you should be able to have your old veneers removed with no damage to your tooth structure. The key to getting an amazing looking smile is not only in the veneers, but many other aspects to what makes up your smile. Such as tooth proportions, shape matching your face, gum line, etc. Principally, communication about expectations.
