How is endometrial (uterine) cancer typically treated?

Surgery first: Endometrial cancer is standardly treated with surgery first. The surgery helps determine a patients stage. Based on their stage and features on their pathology report from their surgery they may be recommended to have further treatment with either chemotherapy and or radiation.

Total hysterectomy: With removal of both ovaries an tubes and biopsies of pelvic and para aortic lymph nodes. The surgical pathology findings then determine the stage. Depending of stage additional radiation or chemotherapy may be recommended.
