The : The answer to your question will depend on the type of facelift that is done. In general, i tell my patients to allow 10-14 days for swelling and bruising to resolve if they don't want to share their experience with others. For those who work in front of the camera or are public figures i suggest they allow 3 weeks. Swelling will continue to resolve for an additional 3-4 months.

Facelift Recovery: Recovery time from a facelift varies from person to person, but patients can generally expect to be presentable within three weeks from surgery. Patients should expect swelling, bruising, and discoloration of the skin during this phase of recovery (swelling normally goes down after 48 hours; most bruising will go away within two weeks). https://pacificcenterplasticsurgery.com/procedures/face/facel.

4days to 4 weeks+/-: This is typically performed in combination with liposuction. Bruising can be minimal lasting only 3-4 days but when more extensive, it can last 3-4 weeks. Rest, ice, compression, and avoidance of blood thinning agents may help to minimize swelling. Compression garments and lymphatic massage may also be advocated by some surgeons to expedite resolution of swelling.
