Perlane, (dermal fillers) : Perlane, (dermal fillers) like many other artificial plumping agents, may actually help to camouflage a soft tissue depression. It may not work as effectively under surgical scars as with other soft tissue depressions, but it may be worth the try.

Depends. : Depends. If you scar is contracted, the contracture must be released and then consider injecting fat or anything else. If the scar is soft, consider fat to fill it up.

Facial : Facial fillers such as restylane, (dermal fillers) collagen, perlane, sculptra and even your own tissues taken from another part of your body (fat injections) are commonly used to fill out wrinkled or uneven areas of the face. Be sure to discuss your options with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine the best option to help make your cheek depression from the melanoma removal less noticeable.

Filler in scars: Injecting scars is an off label use of the product but it can be effective. Have your face evaluated by a board certified facial plastic surgeon.
