Hello. : Hello. The 13 year old male could probably benefit from being evaluated. His gastro-colic reflex may be strong. However, he may also have a rapid transit time for feces moving through his colon. Normally, fluids are reasborbed as the feces goes through the large intestine. However, if it is propelled too quickly though the colon, the fluid is not adequately reabsorbed resuling in diarrhea. It is worth getting checked out.
