Birth control is there a birth control that gives lighter or less periods, reduce acne and contribute to weight loss?

Everyone : Everyone responds differently to the hormones in each pill. For example if i take the same pill as you, i may experience weight gain and you weight loss. I can give you some insight into my patient's experiences. For a lighter period, loloestrin, loestrin, and seasonique (period every 3 months) have been reported to me as doing this. As far as acne, many people like yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol). Weight gain and maintenance is where I have seen the most variation. The least amount of weight gain reported to me is the nuvaring, and the most weight gain is the Depo-Provera shot. Honestly I do not recall which method caused my patients to lose weight per say. Like i stated earlier everyone responds differently. Discuss all your concerns with your doctor and hopefully you can choose the option that is best for you. Good luck!
