It : It could be a salivary duct which is blocked. If it were a vein you would be bleeding. Since you did not mention any blood, ii do not believe it would be a vein.

Mucocele: Small mucous glands in this area can become clogged and the mucous builds up causing the swelling. It is only a problem when it can't drain. If it persists, see an oral surgeon.
