Hello. : Hello. I can't diagnose your condition. However, a lymph node can become enlarged for more reasons that a sore throat or cough. An infection of a gum, a canker sore - these are just a couple of examples. Lymph nodes drain areas of inflammation or infection. I am glad that you will be seeing the doctor tommorrow, so that it can be properly assessed and diagnosed. Take care.

You : You absolutely should get this investigated. A physical examination, comprehensive medical history (and dental history) as well as blood tests might be necessary to diagnose. I would start with your physician and if the cause is unclear follow up with your dentist for an examination and necessary xrays.
