One possible cause of cracking at the corner of the lips is angular cheilitis which is caused by a fungal infection (candida albicans). There is a treatment for this, but your want the diagnosis confirmed beforehand.

No peroxide: I agree with the concern of angular cellulitis however you must stop the peroxide. It has no use and may be causing drying cracking and failure to heal with resultant inflammation.
