Yes, : Yes, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors such as Lexapro (escitalopram) can be helpful with hotflashes and night sweats in some patients.

Yes: There are herbal treatments (although some of these have some hormonal properties) that have been shown to help some women w/hot flashes/night sweats (cohosh, evening primrose oil, etc), but antidepressants (lexapro, wellbutrin, (bupropion) and others)have also been shown to help with hot flash symptoms. A blood pressure medicine called Clonidine can be used as well, and some others also.
