A member asked:

Yes, : Yes, you can have the procedure completed as often as you like. Typically, after I do zoom! on a patient, i provide them with custom made bleaching trays for at home bleaching. The beauty of this is that you can do when and where you want. The concentration of active hydrogen peroxide is less than zoom!and therefore may cause less sensitivity. There are several concentrations available for home use depending on need. The initial in office treatment is a good jump start to home bleaching. First time bleaching patients usually show the most dramatic change. Home care and eating habits will usually determine the continued need for bleaching. Hope this helps.

Generally : Generally speaking, i'd say that once you have zoomed your teeth, you shouldn't have to do it again later. That is assuming you have take home trays for occasional touch up later and actually use them. I always provide the take home trays for my zoom patients so that they can maintain their white smile. Sometimes, if you haven't maintained for a long time, i can see how another zoom procedure might be needed, but generally no.

No : No limit. The only limitation is how effective it will be at each subsequent treatment.

Too much of anything: As with everyting, there is alwats a "too much", but under the care of a caring dentsist, this will not happen. Zoom is intended to be used once and then use take-home touch-up kits. I have no problem using zoom on a patient more than once, but definately no more than once every 2 years, unless then didn't achieve a good result after the first treatment.
