The : The only thing that I am aware of that some people have found some relief with is l-lysine supplement. However i must say the most effective and reliable treatment is an antiviral like Acyclovir or valtrex (valacyclovir). Research low or no cost clinics in your area. Your local county hospital is a good place to start. Also try family planning clinics, there may be free programs that will cover a visit and medication for herpes. Lastly, you can research patient assistant programs for valtrex (valacyclovir). You may be able to get some help there. You may even consider calling your previous doctor for a prescription for acyclovir. Places like walmart and target offer these medications for very reasonable prices (i believe $4 for 30 pills).
