Possible: If herpes is at your urinary opening. Uti also needs to be excluded and is a more likely cause of your symptoms. Please see your dr. Or attend a clinic. Good luck.

Antiviral medicine: If you have frequent herpes outbreaks, you may be started on antiviral medication early in pregnancy to suppress them. If you don't get outbreaks often, make sure to tell your doctor you have a history of herpes. You will be placed on treatment at 36 weeks to prevent an outbreak around the time of labor. Active herpes during labor requires a c-section to avoid giving the baby an infection.

Infection: You should see a doctor as it sounds like you have an infection and should be treated before you spread it. Get checked.

I've known I have herpes for about 4 months now. I don't have any exterior outbreak now. Can herpes cause urgency, frequency, burning with urination?

Usually not: If there are active herpes lesions around the urethra (where urine comes out) then that might cause urinary urgency. But that's unusual. Herpes lesions in the vagina will sting if urine passes over them, but they will also hurt when wiping, etc. A more likely explanation of these symptoms is a bacterial bladder infection.
