If : If a patient feels warm, an oral or tympanic membrane temperature (from the ear) should be taken. If a patient has a fever, often their appetite will be decreased. A white tongue can be caused by different conditions, including thrush (yeast) or even anemia. Any change in a patient, especially an elderly patient, should be evaluated, such as increased sleep or loss of appetite.

Infection: These symptoms all seem to relate to infection. Check her temperature and see a dr.
