Hello. : Hello. I want to start by letting you know that i cannot diagnose your mother’s condition. It sounds like she may have rigors; which is shaking in response to a high fever. However the person feels chilled when it occurs. There can be many causes for rigors such as influenza, pneumonia, pyelonephritis (kidney), an abscess in the body, a medication side effect, problems with bile etc. I recommend that she be taken to the doctor to determine the cause of her vomiting and shaking. Take care.
