Had numb patches for 6 months (hip, back,arm and thumb). 4 doctors have said it's not ms. had no mri but my neurological exams are fine. i have no other symptoms, they think it could be caused by stress or "just one of those things" is this possible?

Numb: Glad to hear you do not have a Dx of MS. Having said that, please continue to seek out a diagnosis, which may be nerve entrapment related. Ask about getting and MRI or other tests beyond clinical observation. Peace and good health.

My left leg below my kneecap (prox tibia area) went completely numb 4 days ago. Neurological exam showed diffuse hyperreflexia all tendon groups and sent for brain MRI which was normal. Now that MS is thankfully ruled out, what could be causing this?
