The : The symptoms you described are consistent with a stomach flu/food poisoning. Your symptoms should be gone or decreasing after about a week to ten days. If not you should be seen by your doctor. Umbilical hernia's are dangerous when the defect comes through your umbilicus and you are unable to push the bulge back in. This is usually very painful and calls for an immediate visit with your doctor. Best of luck.

Possibly: Umbilical hernia is a defect at the belly button. Signs and symptoms of incarceration/strangulation may include but not limited to a firm tender lump at the umbilicus, pain, nausea, vomiting, and bloody bowel movements. If these occur, need to seek immediate medical attention.
