Upper : Upper lid blepharoplasty can improve visual field blockage. It won't make your vision any more clear.

"Vision" : "vision" is comprised of 1). Visual acuity (how clearly you see the words on the page). Glasses and contacts help this. 2). Color vision. You either have it or you don't. You have no control over this. 3). Visual field (how much you see). Blepharoplasty only helps #3.

When : When dermatochalasis produces excess skin that actually obstructs your vision, a blepharoplasty may result in an improvement in the visual field and not necessarily in your vision. This can be documented via visual field testing.

Not necessarily: Blepharoplasty can improve your visual fields if your eyelids are so droopy that they are obscuring your vision. It won't affect the way you perceive the clarity of images, which is called visual acuity.

Visual field yes: You visual acuity, how well you see, should not be changed by eyelid surgery. The exception is some blurriness or improvement due to post operative swelling. Long term, however, your vision should be the same. You visual fields, how large an area you can see, is often improved in the upper and outer directions due to removal of the redundant, visual field obstructing skin.
