I : I agree--this is a typical or classic migraine--you see the zig zag pulshing lines and then usually 20 minutes or so after they disappear, comes the headache. If this happen once a month or more--see your internist who may recommend a medicine you can take when you see the lines that may stop or lessen the headache.

Some : Some patients will have these symptoms without a headache, and we call them opthalmic migraines or eye migraines. If your symptoms only occur in one eye, this could be a more serious issue involving decreased blood flow to the eye, and needs immediate attention by your regular medical doctor or a cardiologist.

Ocular migraines!: Ocular migraines are a form of migraines that take place in the occipital cortex (part of the brain that interprets/controls vision). They lack the severe headache as common migraines. The symptoms are usually all or mostly visual and are typically described as flashing of light or ziz-zag lights in the vision. They usually last less than 30 minutes and affect the vision out of both eyes.
