Usually : Usually physicians can order an x-ray without examining the patient immediately before. It may be helpful to call the washington state medical board to be sure, but in most states an x-ay can be ordered without seeing a patient. Obviously there should be some type of assessment of the patient, and it must be ascertained that the patient is not pregnant.
